Donate to Foster's Home for Children

About Donations

  • Monetary Donations - Money is always needed to fund the program of services which Foster's Home offers. All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Foster's Home for Children is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, as recognized by the IRS. Contact Glenn Newberry or Lacy Barton.

  • Memorial Gifts - Many people choose to honor the memory of someone special through a Memorial gift to Foster's Home. Honor gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions are frequently made as well. Acknowledgements are promptly sent by letter the same day your gift is received. Notifications never include the amount of your gift. Please contact us Glenn Newberry or Lacy Barton to find out how to give a memorial or honor gift.

  • Food - Food may be donated to the operation of Foster's Home for Children. It can either be brought, or arrangements can be made for pickup. Contact Bill Cranfill for more information.

  • Clothes - Foster's Home keeps a clothing room in which good quality useable clothing is stored. Individuals wishing to donate clothes may bring them by the campus office. Items must be clean and in useable condition.

  • Gleaning Campaign - For many years, Foster's Home has conducted Gleaning for Children campaigns. Interested churches encourage their members to take home a coin bank (supplied by Foster's Home) for several months. At an arranged time, the banks are returned to the church and picked up by a representative of the Home. The coins are counted and receipts issued to donors. This program has proved itself a valuable way for both children and adults to benefit the lives of troubled children. You may contact Titus Robison or Lacy Barton for this.

  • Good running vehicles - Periodically, Foster's Home needs cars which can be used by student drivers on campus. These vehicles need to be in good running condition with no major repairs needed. Individuals wishing to donate cars, trucks, or recreational vehicles, that are in good running condition may do so by contacting Glenn Newberry or Lacy Barton. Non-running vehicles - Please call toll-free 1-800-513-6560. Arrangements will be made to pick up your vehicle. A valid title is required. You may use the value you assess on the vehicle as a tax deduction (as allowed by law).

The current tax law allows many ways in which a couple may structure their giving so as to provide maximum benefit for tax purposes. Foster's Home is glad to offer help in the arrangement of estate planning. You may contact Glenn Newberry for assistance in this.
